Running Everything at maximum with a resolution of 1280x1024 85 Hrtz. And Runs 100% Smooth.

Specs:

Windows XP SP1
Ati Radeon 9700 128 mb
512 MB RD Ram (1024 mhz ram)
P 4 2.4 GHZ
533 mhz FSB
120 GB HDD 7200 rpm 8 mb cache.

I Frequently defragment my HDD, scan it for virusses and spyware.
And have no problems what so ever with the game, not even in city's or big battles where its crowded.

512 MB is pleanty of RAM - however, it would be preferable that the RAM would be DDR SDRAM and not just plain old SDRAM - but even if you only have 512 MB of PC100 SDRAM, you can run the game fine, your RAM would just be a tad slower is all.

Now, a 5700 LE should be able to run the game (even if it is a butchered version of the 5700) just fine.

And to the person who said that "the server decides to load something" - this is incorrect. The server does interact with your computer mostly on a level in which it communicates the cordinates where you are situated on the current map, what map, and all that jazz. Unless you see an enemy respawn in front of you, the server hasn't decided anything. I'm also curious, do you have 512 MB of RAM?

Anyway, I run the game with these specs without a problem:
AMD Athlon XP 2800+ Barton
512 MB PC3200 (DDR400) Samsung kit (two sticks of 256 acting as dual - yes I need a gig :/)
120 GB 7200 RPM WD HDD
16x Generic DVD-ROM (Phillups, I think)
ATi Radeon X800 XL 256 MB AGP Edition

I will point out that, if your graphics card has 256 MB of VRAM, and it is an ATi X series or nVidia 6 series, it really helps. Having 256 MB of VRAM (mine being GDDR3, good stuff) basically allows the card to store more textures and information and all that fancy stuff all at once. When the card only has 128 MB it has to "empty out" the VRAM more often to make room for more data - this in turn, slows it down. Also, I mentioned "if you have a 6 series nVidia or X series ATi" because, well, the 5 series nVidia's (5200, 5600, 5700, 5900, and all in between) and the 9 series ATi's (9000, 9200, 9500, 9600, 9700, 9800 and all in between) cannot handle 256 mb of VRAM properly (well, the 9800 being the exception to the rule, actually), and having twice the amount of RAM compared to the stock amount is, in fact, COUNTER-productive.

Anyway, I'm bored at work. :\

By the way, I feel for you all with low specs and whatnot, only because I got a decent paying job can I afford my fancy-shmancy graphics card and all that. I have yet to build a PC for myself though (using the "family" PC at the moment). Not too long ago I was running with a mere 9600 XT (not a bad card - a year ago ).

For those who are looking for an excellent upgrade, get the ATi Radeon X800 XL card. It's THE best bang for your buck, no doubt. It trounces the 6600 GT, and even holds up to the 6800 GT - yet is cheaper than the 6800 GT. The AGP or PCI-E versions are practically identical, except for the length (the AGP version has to be longer to make room for the PCI-E to AGP converter chip) and the need for a 4-pin molex connection to power it (since PCI-E provides all the power through the bus, and AGP does not). But all in all, the same card performance-wise. So start saving! (NOTE - Get a 400 watt PSU minimum to power the beast. :P)

Umm, the pefect computer for any PC game today would be the new Alienware's laptop or Dell's XPS Gen 2 laptop:

- Pentium M Centrino 2.0 Ghz (or more)
- Nvidia GeForce Go 6800 Ultra (128 or 256 ram)
- 1 or 2 GB DDR2 Ram
- Windows XP (Duh?!)
- 60, 80 or 100 GB Hard drive

And much more stuff, but tha'ts mainly the highlights for games.. you can see the computer's review here: http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NzU3

What ya think eh?

Agh! Don't EVER recommend ANYTHING Alienware! They're HORRIBLY overpriced! You'd be better off building a desktop PC yourself. Alienware charges a LOT extra for assembly/brand name/paint jobs. It's absolutely ridiculous. I can build a formidable gaming computer for a little under $2000 CAD (probably 1600-1800 USD) - that includes an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice s939 (w00t for overclocking with stock HSF), 1 gig of pc3200 Corsair, 120 gb SATA Seagate Baracuda HDD (I'll be getting the 80 gig since I spent a little extra on the X800 XL :P), LG DVD+/-RW, Soltek K8T-Pro s939 mobo (very overclockable, very stable), Antec Sonata Quiet Chassis Case w/ 380W Truepower PSU (great case, great PSU). Now, I was going to get the BFG 6600GT OC AGP or XFX edition of the card, but I spent a little extra on the video card (100 more) and got an X800 XL.

What's the point? Spending shitloads on brand-name PC's is retarded. Build your own - all of you in the US have Newegg which rocks - so go for it!

Regarding the question to ATI Radeon 7000 users: Yes it works, but the card has a tendancy to lag in most areas, so turn the graphics down to Fastest: 800x600 settings. It should work then.

And i use 512MB (-64MB) RAM, so it still works fine on my Lappy (the name of my Laptop) although it's a pain to load sometimes

I have a question about Video Cards, I meet or beat the other recomended requirments. I'm just using the one that came on my Dell Inspiron 1150(which replaced my 1100 cause it broke, I freaking hate Dell), a Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller. Would that be suffencient to play the game? Is that even my Graphics Card?

Woah, im actually posting....woah
Anyways,

My computer is
2.2Ghz
256 RAM
GeForce 3 64mb

The game is fine. Im playing with highest graphic settings, etc. But if im loading to any mission or town (not PvP or GvG) it takes me hell alot of time. around 1 min. I know that my RAM meets the minimum requirnments, but i know that some people play on 256 and load in less than 10 seconds. Any idea how i can make my game load faster without buying more RAM?

It should work ok on low-medium settings, but you may want to pick up some more ram (at least up it to 512).

Tao, you will probably need a new PCI card recommended in some of the dell threads.

my p4 3.2ghz with HT 640 series (2mb l2 cache, 64-bit possibilities)
with 1gb ddr2 sdram
and a 128mb pci-e ati x300 graph card (upgraded to pci-e x700 pro)

i get HUGE freeze frames in high populated towns, and while running in the normal world, there isn't a time i don't get the computer lag, not game lag, game lag you can see everything moving, just not able to controll it, this completely freezes the game for a split second, just noticeable, but not more than half a second to a second. Like a picture movie, where pictures are shown.

i don't know if it's the game, or if something is wrong with my comp, from the specs on this thing it should be able to handle ANY game with ease. (2 vid cards, the x700 actually worked WORSE than the x300, it lagged more and took longer to load cinema's in the game, strange since x700 is $200 and x300 is what, $50?)

Hey guys I need help ASAP plz!

I'm about to get a computer built and I'm confused if to buy ATI Radeon 9000 64m (recommended by GW), or Gigabyte's ATI Radeon 9250 (128mb) which is under the same price...

I'm just going to buy one of these two so please tell me which should I?...

Forbidden16 I would go with the 9250 w/128mb of the two. Don't let everyone on forums tell you you need a 6600GT. If you want real information as to what will run GW it doesn't take much a Geforce 4 MX 440 plays it fine at medium-to-high detail with decent hardware. If you are not into FPS games or a big gamer the 9250 will be fine. I personally would look into the FX5200 as well as a low cost card that will handle GW well as well as a number of other titles.

The 9500 Pro series is very good, the TI 4200, and the ati 9600's are also good alternatives (with the fx5200, 9500, and 9600 all supporting DX9 in hardware.)

Thx, then I'll buy that one, I just want it for now to play GW. I'm buying a laptop later this year that'll be equipped for any game ;D.

You need a 6600GT...

...wait for it...

...if you want the best combination of performance and price, but only if you want maxed-out graphics.

If maxing-out isn't important to you and you just want the best combination of performance and price, then the Radeon 9600 XT is what I'd reccommend.

Here it is:

AMD Athlon-64 2.0GHZ (3000+)
ASUS K8N A.I Motherboard with Onboard sound
1 Gig of V-Data 400MHZ PC3200 DDR CAS-2.5
GeForce FX5700LE 256
450 power supply and 80 gig HD

Will it work...or should I wait a few months until they patch things up? (I missed out on the beta.)

PS: As I said in a pervious post on another thread...the game is sitting on my desk and just begging to be played.
